Women’s History Month Benefit 2021
Sunday, March 7th, 2021 @ 1pm PST

Our annual benefit goes virtual this year as we kick off our Women’s History Month fundraising campaign with this online event. Hosted by the smart and hilarious Kate Rigg (back from last year’s event by popular demand), we’ll premiere our new short film with renowned activist Dolores Huerta followed by a conversation with the legend herself.

Look What SHE Did! Salon: Resilient Women
Sunday, March 28th, 2021

We’ll close Women’s History Month with a virtual salon featuring live screenings of three of our most popular films followed by conversations with storytellers Brittany Ashley, Dee Johnson, Sonay Hoffman and event attendees about women’s resilience in challenging times.

Past Events

Look What SHE Did! produces live and digital film screenings with panel discussions and audience Q&A with the filmmakers. Previous event partners have included Mount Saint Mary’s University, Heidi Duckler Dance, the Ebell of Los Angeles, the Allbright West Hollywood and the Motion Picture Editor’s Guild, among others. July 2020– Look What SHE Did! partnered with Heidi Duckler Dance to host a virtual salon premiering three films from our Artists of Los Angeles series. Check out a recording of the event here

August 2020– Mount Saint Mary’s University Center for the Advancement of Women hosted a virtual screening of three films from Look What SHE Did!’s Black Women Lead series. The films preceded conversations with the Look What SHE Did! storytellers and Mount Saint Mary’s film students and faculty.

November 2020– The Ebell of Los Angeles hosted a virtual salon and film premiere of three films from our Artists of Los Angeles series, followed by conversations by the filmmakers and storytellers.

March 2020– The Look What SHE Did! Board and Host Committee hosted a special Benefit Brunch on March 1, 2020 at Akasha Restaurant in Culver City, CA. We honored Dr. Una Ryan, a remarkable scientist, inventor, angel investor and artist and saw films featuring Dr. Ryan as well as our hilarious MC, comedian Kate Rigg. Read more here…

March 2019– On March 30, we honored Women’s History Month by gathering for a delicious brunch at the famous Jar restaurant in Los Angeles. A panel of speakers featuring Joan Blades (co-founder, Moveon.org), Erin Aubrey Kaplan (columnist, New York Times) and Dr. Jane Margolis (social scientist, UCLA).
