“Women who would NOT be silenced.”

As part of Look What SHE Did!'s 2023 Women's History Month Festival, we presented a series of three virtual screening events organized around women who are LOUD, BOSSY, and BOLD. This event featured films on Mexican-American journalist Jovita Idár and Indian bandit-queen Phoolan Devi. Hosted by Sylvia Hathaway Chavez, the storytellers from each film, including Beatriz Hernandez and Neetu Badhan-Smith, spoke about their experiences as women of color fighting for justice in an often unjust world.
